Hello January

Happy new year all hope you had a great Christmas break,
I managed to get to the coast a couple of times. Once down to Bournemouth and then a New Years day trip to the lovely Runswick Bay just around the corner from Whitby.
I love the coast I find it recharges my batteries and clears my head which everyone needs at the start of the new year don't you think !
So today I took down my decorations in the shop and had changed the window displays and other areas of the shop to create a fresh feel.
I re open on Sat 7th at 10am and will be busy re stocking with hats and accessories for the up coming months.
It will also be time to start blocking wedding and event hats in preparation for spring weddings so there's plenty to keep me busy.
I shall put together a sale basket of various items so if you are planning a visit be sure to have a look for a lovely little bargain.
Don't forget that the shop tel number has changed it's now 01422 618322

New Year New Ideas

Since I closed for the Christmas break I have spent time in Norfolk with family and visited friends in London. So I am back to work and now full of ideas for the year ahead. The workroom has been cleared of all junk and is now in great shape, I have bought new scissors and made a few new patterns.
One of the new projects is 'Hat Therapy at Home'  a selection of fabric lead table wear including table mats, napkins, tea towels and other lovey items.
I have always loved table linen and of course my love of fabric allows me to indulge both passions at once.
There will be spring hats to design and make as well as a photo shoot in March which will encompass a very unusual theme. [more on the later]
So if you would like to see my At Home range they will in the shop in Hebden Bridge from the weekend or on line later next week.
Hope your year has started well.
Chrissie.

Another Year

Another year has flown by.They say time flys when you're busy and it's been a very busy 12 months.
I've made many lovely hats and accessories for so many unusual events, for brides and wedding guests, for other national and international social gatherings and for individuals who lead very interesting lives.!
I was also asked to make a rather large amount of berets for the winter Olympics, but sadly that request never came to be but it was very nice to be asked.
So it's time to renew my batteries over Christmas and the New Year when I shall be ready to do it all again. Merry Christmas. X

New Year New Designs

Happy New Year hope everyone had a lovely Christmas. I had a little time off to recharge my batteries and now am back in full swing in the shop, with lots to make and organise.
January in the U.K. is normally a very cold month so I need plenty of warm cosy hats and accessories ready to go. Here's a small selection of neck wraps, ear warmers and accessories that are perfect for a cold day.
Next week I am taking part in The Designer Pop up Event in The Hospital Club In Covent Garden, London.
A selection of designers will be selling next Wednesday evening from 6pm to 9pm if you live in London and would like to go get in touch and I will pop you on the guest list.
