Peach And Lace For A Romantic Wedding

Last week I made a lovely lace and natural braid bridal headband for a friend who was getting married.
I stiffened and wired the lace to create leaf or petal shapes then made loops of braid in two tones.
It worked really well with her lace but simple dress and was the perfect gift for me to give.
This week I finished a very unusual coloured crin headdress in a light tan with pinky cream silk flowers and a sharp citrus yellow beaded centres.
The dress it matched was a 1920's pale peach silk sheath with yellow citrus tassel's at the base and soft tan embroidered flowers around the hem.
It was a tricky piece to get the tones just right but it was fantastic together and looked so unusual.
Hebden bridge is now in full bloom with all the trees looking magnificent and an early walk along the canal the other evening was just a delight.
I have now finished the main changes to the blog layout with social sharing ability at the end of each post and all my social networking buttons such as Pinterest etc easily accessible at the top right of the page.
Hope you like the new look Chrissie. x
